1. To activate Google Chat on mobile devices and browsers, first, open the Gmail app.
2. Now click on the three-line icon in the left corner and scroll down to the 'Setting' option.
3. Select your account now.
4. Now select 'General'.
5. Here you will find "Show the Chat and Rooms Tabs".
6. Then enable the feature with a tick mark in the dialog box.
